About us
The trusted friend who reads the labels.
Mom Cabinet is a wellness review site written for women in their 40s and 50s. Specifically, the family anchor. The mom or grandma whose cabinet is full of half-used vitamin bottles, who reads the labels nobody else has time to read, and who’d rather have one thing that actually works than a shelf full of maybes.
We exist because the wellness internet is loud, sponsored, and mostly written for someone else. We are the calm group chat version of that.
Who owns us
Mom Cabinet is owned and operated by The Absorption Company. The Absorption Company makes supplements (Restore, GoBHB, and a few others). Yes, we cover their products on this site. We also cover competitor products. We earn revenue when readers buy through links to The Absorption Company.
We tell you that up front because trust is the whole point. An owned media site that pretends to be independent is a lie, and lies are bad for business and worse for readers. Every article that mentions an Absorption Company product carries a clear disclosure at the top.
How we review
Every review is honest editorial. That means we call out price, taste, who it’s not for, and the real tradeoffs. A 30-day test means 30 days. If a product is mid, we say it’s mid. If a competitor wins on price-per-serving, we say so.
We are also strict about what we don’t do. No fake urgency. No “doctors hate this.” No sponsored posts pretending not to be sponsored. No glossy wellness aesthetic. No marble flatlays. No medical jargon dressed up as expertise.
Who writes here
We use real first names and real lives. The cast is small, intentionally.
Jenna
43, mom of two in the suburbs, former elementary school teacher. Started reading supplement labels because her oldest has a peanut allergy and label-reading became a survival skill. Now does it for everything in the cabinet. Has opinions about magnesium.
Megan
47, empty-nester navigating perimenopause. Spent twenty years in nonprofit operations. Cares about real, sustained energy and not “biohacks.” Writes the routines and the perimenopause check-ins.
How we cover the four shelves
Four pillars, in plain English:
- Supplement Reviews — single products and roundups. 30-day tests where they matter.
- Ingredient Explainers — plain-English guides to what’s actually on the label.
- What’s in the Cabinet — the recurring column. What’s on our shelves this season.
- Real-Life Routines — mornings, perimenopause, the 3pm slump. Practical, not preachy.
Questions, suggestions, hate mail
Email us at hello@momcabinet.com. We read everything, even if we can’t reply to every note. Tell us what you’re taking, what you wish someone had warned you about, and what you want us to review next.
